On Saturday Yasmin, Diana and Francesca completed their training with Josephine's Star to become volunteers with us. Training involves; theories of grief, scales of grief, generational differences, ages and stages, grief repletion, cultural differences, language used, active listening, attachment theories and safeguarding as well as a hands on go at activities and looking at useful resources. This training enables our volunteers to support bereaved children and young people across Somerset.
